Wedding "You're Invited" Invitation

As you may have heard, we're engaged! And you're officially invited to attend our WEDDING!

When: 3 January 2004
Where: Canmore, AB, Canada

We're deep in the midst of preparations - buying a dress, figuring out the menu, fielding phone calls and faxes. If you have received this email, that's means you are going to be invited to the wedding. This is what is called a "Save-The-Date" card. The official invitations will go out in about six weeks.

The wedding is taking place in beautiful Canmore Alberta, at the height of winter wonderland season. Skiing & snowboarding, ice climbing, hiking, snowshoeing, ice fishing, dog sledding, and ice-sculpture-building are all nearby, if not on the doorstep.

As for accommodation and other arrangements, we're block-booking at the Canmore Radisson and at a few low-cost places in town (please do not call the Radisson yet). You will receive another email in a week or so giving you details about: how to book a room through the group, where to rent a car or how to take the super-easy Calgary airport shuttle to Canmore, the special activities leading up to the wedding, and our registries.

If you do not live in Calgary or Canmore, now is the time to book your flight. Arriving on January 1st or *early* on the 2nd is a grand idea - there will be fun and games, karaoke, and general pre-wedding whooping-it-up of which to partake. On the 4th there will be a brunch at mid-day, after which we'll be leaving on a short honeymoon. Please feel free to join us for the whole shebang.

So to sum up, you are INVITED to our wedding, this is the EARLY WARNING of said invitation, and we hope you can make it to our bonanza celebration of love for and commitment to each other! (Book your flight!)
